My question is, A non-muslim friend has donated a Aqua Guard (Water Purifier) to our Masjid. Can we use this in our Masjid. Is it allowable as per the shariah guidelines or not? Can we accept donations from non-muslims friends to Madarsa and Masjid. Kindly reply as soon as possible.[24 Aug, 2010]

Can the donated money be kept in a bank and the interest accumulated be used to pay for the taxes and insurance of the Masjid and it's property?

If any Pesh (Chief) Imam is not Haffez ( Hibbs) in Quaran, then can he contineu the Khatam- Tarabi Namaz in Ramzan by him ?? 2) If we chose an any other Haffez (Hibbs) will do the same only for the month of Ramzan instead of that Pesh Imam is that Jayez in Islam Rule ?? 3) Can we pay more salary to the Chosen Haffez for the month of Ramzan than the Pesh Imam ?? In Shariah, Is it allowed to construct buildings in Muslim Cemeteries? In Sri Lanka, Cemeteries are belongs to Masjids. In recent years, Masjid Administration Boards have contructed shopping complexes to create income for Masjid's maintenance. This is really disturbing me much. If it is not allowed (haram) in Islam, can we pray in these kind of Masjids?, I expect a very very detail response from you. ASSALAAMU A'LAIKUM,HAJRAT,after my fathers death, i got a piece of land on which,a portion of land I have made WAQF for MASJID. But there are more 2 MOSJIDS nearly that area. In my village the old mosque is reconstructed after being demolished,now some people say that out of the original constructed area of the old mosque leave some place for the villagers as walking passage between the mosque and the adjoining house,can such area which was originally the part of mosque be excluded from the new construction.[13 Jul, 2009]

Asslamualikum, I want to seek your kind advise in the light of what shriya says that in my area masjid,the masjid is using all the light without paying its bill and some days before the light meter was disconnected due to not paying the light bills and masjid members using the light directly from poll and just now the members of masjid installed the A/C. Please let us know can we offer the namaz in that masjid.[13 Jul, 2009]
